The quote goes like,

“Joy shared is twice, sorrow shared is half.“

COULD NOT BE FARTHER FROM THE TRUTH,

When dealing with actual humans,

Joy shared is half, sorrow shared is twice.

Remember, this includes people, not family, or friends you consider brothers.

Why do I say this?

Because the quote operates on the assumption that everyone wishes well for you,

And that is not the truth,

When you share your joy to a rando, he, best case scenario, couldn’t give a shit,

Or, worst case scenario, gets jealous,

You don’t want either.

When you share sorrow with a rando, best case, he shares his own sorrow,

Worst case, he sympathises and makes you feel like a victim.

So, instead of showing off,

Try living the quiet life for a bit,

You’ll be happier.
